I'm based in Thun and work with makers, ateliers and practices, here and well beyond it. One contact, fast answers, no agency mark-up. You talk to the person who also builds.

Shain Gerstner.

Around eight years of design and motion, with and at Swisscom, Cleverclip, Comvation and Maxomedia. Now on my own, at the start of the studio, the whole range at one table: web, film, image. Fair rates, because I'm winning my first clients.

HOW I WORK · 04

I keep cutting until only what matters is left.

I build in greyscale first. As long as the structure holds without colour, I know it really holds. Anything that hasn't earned its place gets cut. The frame stays quiet in the background. The colour comes from your work, not from me. What's left at the end is exactly what counts.

WHERE I STAND · 05

Where I stand.

• A studio is not neutral.
• I stand with people, not power. Tax the rich — eat the rich. The wealth was never theirs alone.
• Free Palestine. Against the occupation, against every wall and cage, against ICE and anyone who disappears people for profit.
• No quarter for fascists. ACAB. 1312.
• I'm an ally to queer and trans people, to migrants, to anyone the powerful push to the margins.
• I build nothing that harms people: no surveillance, no weapons, no borders. There’s no rate for that.
• Today osoro is one person. The direction is a co-operative: a studio owned by the people who do the work, sharing the decisions and the upside. Built slowly, built right.
